Michael “CAVS” Cavanagh of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard reimagines the film with an all-new live score, performing solo across multiple drum kits and a suite of electronic instruments. Hear My Eyes are thrilled to welcome back Michael "CAVS" Cavanagh, the driving percussive force behind King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. For Memento, CAVS reimagines the film with an all-new live score, performing solo across multiple drum kits and a suite of electronic instruments to build an entrancing, bombastic percussion composition that unfolds in real time. After joining forces on Suspiria in 2020, CAVS and Haydn Green (Artistic Director - Hear My Eyes) have been scheming, waiting for the perfect film. “Mickey and I have been talking about a percussion focused project for years now, but it's been really difficult to find the right film, and now after spending a lot of time with Memento, I know it's perfect,’’ Green said. “I love the conceptual alignment. Memento is a film about one mind trying to piece itself together and having one virtuoso build the entire score live in front of an audience mirrors that beauutiful.
